PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS UNDER LAW NO. 6331 ON OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
According to Article 15 of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, the employer is obliged to ensure that medical examinations and health screenings deemed appropriate by the workplace physician are carried out for employees prior to recruitment and in case of job changes, taking into account the nature of the job, the sector, and the working environment.
As Bodrum Tıp OSGB, we provide Pre-Employment Medical Reports through our workplace physicians at your company location, and necessary health screenings are conducted via our mobile health units.
Medical Tests Included in the Pre-Employment Health Report
Chest X-ray
Used to diagnose diseases such as tuberculosis and other respiratory conditions. The chest X-ray is evaluated and reported by a pulmonologist.
Audiometry (Hearing Tests)
Required especially for employees working in noisy environments such as construction sites or factories, to measure the hearing threshold level.
Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
Conducted to detect respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, or shortness of breath. Recommended across various industries.
Carrier Examination (Porter Test)
Mandatory for employees working in the food industry or those in direct contact with consumables. Nasal, throat, and stool cultures are analyzed for the presence of infectious bacteria.
Tetanus Vaccination
Tetanus, caused by the deadly Clostridium tetani bacteria, can enter the body through open wounds. Vaccination is administered in specific doses to build immunity.
Complete Blood Count (CBC/Hemogram)
Analyzes various blood parameters to evaluate the employee’s overall health. Detects conditions such as anemia, infections, leukemia, and viral diseases.
Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG)
Measures blood sugar levels while fasting. Elevated results may indicate a risk of diabetes.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Using electrodes placed on the wrists, ankles, and chest, this test evaluates heart rhythm and identifies possible arrhythmias or cardiac conditions.
Eye Examination
Detects visual impairments such as myopia or hyperopia, as well as conditions like color blindness and cataracts.
Legal Obligation Under Article 15 of Law No. 6331
